My Spring '6 Week Fat Loss' Journey at Faster Fitness!

Hi There's Moore to It Fam!

Woooow it's been a long six weeks for this girl.. As some of you have read in my Winter '6 Week Fat Loss' blog post I have been training these past four months at Faster Fitness in Brentwood, MO! This past Monday I finished my second Fat Loss Challenge and wow my results have been absolutely insane.

Last challenge I lost 17 lbs and 6.2% body fat, and this time around I lost 10 lbs and 5% body fat! Meaning I am officially down 30 lbs and 13% body fat in FOUR MONTHS! Honestly, I would almost say that this challenge was way harder than the last. I feel like my cravings have been so much more intense and mentally the dieting has been way harder Don't get me wrong.. it's been SO empowering getting this far and I honestly NEVER thought I would see my body change in such a short amount of time. But I'm going to say this again, it's NOT easy and that's why for me, this is a lifestyle change. I know if I set myself up for failure, I absolutely will fail.

Check out my first six week blog post here for before and afters--- and compare them to NOW!

Haven't heard of the 6 Week Challenge by Faster Fitness yet? This particular challenge has a specific meal plan set up by Marshall Ray, who is the only trainer in the state of Missouri to have his combination of impressive certifications which includes; CSCS, PICP L1 & 2, Biosignature L1 and 2, Precision Nutrition Coach L1, Nasm CPT (Certified Personal Trainer), NASM CES (corrective exercise specialist), and FMS Level 1 &2 ( Functional Movement Systems). When signing up for the program, you also are instructed to download the Coaching app which is for accountability, and the Faster Fitness app. The FF app is where once you join you sign up for up for 4 classes the next 6 weeks.

Class times are Monday-Fridays at 6 am, 6:45 am , 9 am, 9:45 am, 4:15 pm, 5 pm, 5:45 pm, and 6:30 pm. Saturdays are 8:15 am, 9 am, and 9:45 am. We are also given a sprinting program to help us get some extra cardio outside of the 45 minute classes. Each class targets different areas of your body, and also involves metabolic training to get your heart rate up to burn all that yucky fat away.

Drinking was also something that Marshall, and the other trainer Greg recommend for those who want to reach their body fat loss percentage! It helped tremendously in that sense and allowing me to not miss my work outs. This journey has taught me so much about how and what my body tolerates and honestly, alcohol never has helped me reach my fitness goals in the past... Meaning I will not ever be going back to that heavy drinking lifestyle I once had.

Before and Afters this time around:

Final Check in & Janurary-Now Comparison:

My Personal 'Setting Yourself Up to Succeed' Advice:

-Reaching your water goals is hard. Unless you love drinking plain water anyways! Get Crystal Light packets or Mio to help make this goal become more fun! I love the Strawberry Pineapple Mio, and the green flavor! The lemonade flavor mixed with the strawberry mio is AMAZING. Oh and did I mention water does WONDERS for your skin?

-Hit your protein goals.. mean setting yourself up for success! Quest bars and flavored almonds are LIFE. I am a little OCD about when I have my snack because my days are pretty much the same during the week. If you don't feed your metabolism, your body isn't working to burn calories! Aka NO fat loss. Also Quest bars are freaking DELICIOUS and keep my sweet tooth sane. Heat that baby up for 20 seconds and boom....SO tasty! Thank me later ;)

-READ YOUR LABELS. One thing I have learned since joining Faster Fitness... it is VITAL you know what you are putting in your body. If you put the right nutrients into your body.. the energy you want will come OUT! Sorry but a ton of 'protein bars' are packed with sugar and a hell of a lot of carbs.. Be smart about these 'little' decisions. It could ruin your entire day's nutrition goals.

-MEAL PREP! I don't think I could say this enough.. Prepping your food is the very first step to setting yourself up for success! If you don't do you really think you will cook for every single meal? Especially with work and day to day chores? The likely answer is absolutely not. Also, portion size is everything. If you aren't cooking the recommended food serving sizes you are more than likely eating way too much.

-Environment- These last two challenges have really shown me who my real friends are. I have done a 180 on the way that I live my life in every department because of my fitness goals. IF I constantly go the bar, I will probably give in. IF I go out to eat, I'll probably give in. IF I go out, I probably won't get enough sleep. Guess what? All of those things effect what I have worked hard for. Choose to be around the people that love and support you thru such a mental and tedious process. You will thank yourself later.

Pep Talk Time:

Before I get super honest with you all, I do want to say thanks again to those who have supported me in this long journey. I have had so much support via my IG, from friends and family, etc. It's been so surreal to know that I have helped get people in the door at Faster. THAT is why I write. It was so hard for me to open up with everyone and be vulnerable with sharing my journey. Everyone portrays their lives to be perfect on social media, and nothing is more amazing than seeing people post about their STRUGGLES and their VICTORIES. That is real to me. I want THOSE people in my life, and that's exactly why I have been opening up myself to you all.

I recently talked to several people about my journey and have told them, not everyone is made for this type of commitment. You either want it or you don't. I made these sacrifices because I expect these results from myself. Especially after letting myself go and not taking care of my body. I have also talked to a lot of people who say they don't have time or can't say no. STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR YOURSELF. You can make time. Sure it sucks changing your routine but guess what? Creating a habit takes 21 days. That's why so many people fail at committing to this lifestyle.

Guys. Sugar makes you TIRED. Of course working out was the last thing I wanted to do this time last year... that was because my body wasn't fueling on anything but crap... meaning I absolutely had no desire for needed gym time. That's why I officially joined as a member at FF! I love the constant team work, and extra push that we get from the trainers! I know that right now in order to succeed I have to surround myself with my Faster family. That's why I want to tell you all a little bit about the 21 Day Challenge FF is having from now until October when the next 6 Week Challenge is!

21 Day Fat Loss Challenge:

If you're still interested in checking out FF, don't worry it's not too late! From now until the next October challenge you can sign up for the 21 Day Challenge! This challenge is very similar to the 6 week program, however it is only $99 and is for 21 days! You will also be able to do four sessions a week, receive a specific meal plan to help hit your goals, and also get to use the amazing weigh in machine! Unfortunately this program is not online yet, but potentially maybe in the future. So sorry for those readers who don't live in STL! :/ Feel free to email me if you all have any questions via the Contact sheet on here!

Please let Faster Fitness know that I sent you! :)

I have some more super fun things to share that I've been working on, so stay tuned! This summer is going to have some solid content ;) LOVE YOU GUYS! Your support seriously has meant the WORLD to me.

Xoxo-Maddie
